Three Poems on Winter

1) In harshest winter
lonely shrines dream of Bodhi
blooming in spring’s warmth.

2) Shrines,
in winter, dream
of spring

3) Dream
of your mind’s


Each poem was based on the one previous. Each revision brings us closer to the point of the poem, distilling the language and focus past the picture of a shrine and the stark landscape of winter and into the sublime.

At least that is what the interwebs told me…
