Four poems on longing.

1) Autumn leaves twist and fall.
Eat food, sleep, kiss, sing your songs.
Only doves will mourn you.

2) Morning frost and chill,
a fox spirit’s tales of woe,
warmed by the fire.

3) Flames and lies
flicker and lick the sky
as dawn breaks.

4) Autumn’s color
longs for winter’s
solitude.
